Olivia is a talented friend and maker of beautiful wool rugs, among other things.

Olivia admits that ‘sustainable’ has become a bit of an overused buzz word, but does every bit she can to ensure she is being responsible in her practice by using materials that are traceable and durable and supporting our local industries.

All rugs are made of 100%  NZ Wool, which is much more durable than synthetic carpet yarn, and lasts a long time while still being biodegradable at the end of its lifecycle. The wool is spun in Naenae, then sent to Auckland to be dyed, then back down to Wellington to be made into rugs in her bedroom studio.

Olivia’s rugs are commission only. She works with each buyer to design a rug that reflects them, so they create an attachment to it and don't ever want to throw it away!
